    Welcome to North Georgia, the medical practice of Dr. Sanjay Athavale

    Dr. Athavale delivers comprehensive ear, nose and throat (ENT) care, with extensive training in endoscopic sinus, nasal, ear, head and neck and thyroid surgery. Dr. Athavale and his team are not only committed to treating ENT diseases but also strive to ensure patients learn and understand their specific ENT issues.

    Dr. Athavale received his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, for his medical degree. He then completed his residency training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

    Dr. Athavale has hospital privileges at Piedmont Cartersville and Northside Hospital Cherokee.

    When not spending time with his two daughters, Eva and Lily, fiancé Carrie, her two daughters, Winnie and Vivian, and his dog, Sunny, he loves spending time on the golf course.

  • Sarah Dryanski, Au.D.

    Sarah Dryanski, Au.D., a New York native, received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts in 2004. She then earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Dr. Dryanski is licensed in the state of Georgia and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Audiology. Sarah has over 15 years of experience working in private practice and hospital settings with both adult and pediatric populations.

    Throughout her career, Dr. Dryanski has gained extensive knowledge performing audiologic examinations and treating patients with hearing loss and balance disorders. Sarah’s main areas of interest include performing comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations, hearing aid fitting and programming, providing assistive listening devices and counseling patients on the impact of hearing loss. Dr. Dryanski understands how hearing loss and balance disorders can affect her patients’ quality of life and makes it her mission to perform accurate diagnostic testing and recommend the most appropriate hearing aids to meet each patient’s unique needs.  

    In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, watching her daughters play sports, exercising, traveling and cheering on the New York Mets.
